Ramp is a contemporary public art gallery, situated in the heart of Hamilton City at Wintec’s School of Media Arts.
Ramp’s exhibition programme provides a space for critical thought and dialogue through a curated programme of exhibitions, essays, public programmes, workshops and online platforms. Aware of the privileged position that Ramp holds, we acknowledge Tangata Whenua, Waikato Tainui and mana whenua hapū demonstrated in our marae, Te Kōpū Mānia o Kirikiriroa. We are committed to consciously encouraging divergent voices and practices in all aspects of the gallery schedule. Ramp will foster safety for cultural, multi-gendered, divergent ideological worldviews to be explored in an engaged, creative and thoughtful way.
Ramp Gallery is free to attend and open to all visitors from Monday to Friday 12:30 – 4pm, or by appointment.
